When our dear friend Cocó Ciëlo was brutally murdered late last year, we felt that a big part of Static Discos died with him. Not only did we lost his friendship, but we also lost a great artist. Cocó was responsible for many things happening in Spain in relation to forward thinking music, from his early stints at minimal techno and ambient in the mid nineties with Silvania, his eloquent DJ sets in many Madrid clubs, his lovely electro-pop with Ciëlo and his curatorship in festivals like Festival Internacional de Bennicassim. Our friends at At-At Records have quickly complied a tribue album called Marzo Es Marte, which contains new music from Fax, Balún, Ford Proco, Resplandor, Pepe Mogt (Latinsizer) and Antiguo Autómata Mexicano.
