A shake of static babies
Mon/May/25 2009

The latest free download from Static Discos is called Blended Stock. It is a one-hour-plus mix-DJ-set by Cubenx, where he blends the more danceable tracks from the Static Discos catalog. Included are new tracks by Microesfera, Fax, Macario and old faves by Terrestre, AAM, Latinsizer, Fussible, F_cka5, AAM, Métrika and Duopandamix. We will be distributing the download cards at Mutek_10 this week in Montreal. But don’t worry, to have the download card is nice but not necessary to obtain and listen to the Blened Stock. Just head to our Blended Stock page and download the magic. Yes, miracles can still happen.

Cubenx at SonarSound Washington
Thu/April/02 2009

Cubenx points to Washington D.C., where he will be playing at SonarSound Washington this coming May 14th. Cubenx will play alongside Panóptica (R. Mendoza), Spain’s Del Palo Soundsystem and the ReacTable. The event will happen at the Mexican Cultural Institute (2829 16th Street NW) from 7 until 11pm. SonarSound is an extension of the influential Sonar Festival in Barcelona Spain, which is part of the activities of ‘Preview Spain Arts & Culture 09’ happening in the US right now. Cubenx’s sound was recently described by Textura as “deep, largely stripped-down techno of the kind one might expect from Traum Schallplatten with Cubenx generally holding the listener's interest by smartly dressing up the tracks with wide-screen atmosphere and sweetly chiming melodies”.
