STATIC DISCOS nominated for 6 Awards by QWARTZ ELECTRONIC MUSIC AWARDS in FRANCE.

Our label has been nominated in 6 different categories by the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards based in France. This is the second year that the awards will be presented, and the ceremony will be in March 24 2006 in Paris, at the Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione. The categories in which Static Discos has been nominated are: Qwartz Album (Murcof - "Martes/Utopía"), Qwartz Discovery (Fax - "Ruido de Fondo [defragmentado]"), Qwartz Compilation (Fax - "Collaborations & Remixes"), Qwartz Video Clip (Murcof's "Ulysses" directed by Aaron Soto, Azzul Monraz and Aldo Guerra). These first 4 nominations were public until the end of 2005, the ballots were cast and we will see how we did at the end of March.

In the non public vote category the Qwartz Jury gave Static Discos two aditional nominations: Best Label (Qwartz Label) and Qwartz Emerging Artist for Murcof. More info at: http://www.qwartz.org,
